⦿ Once a student gets admission to a university, he/she received the Form I20 from the university.
⦿ The Form I-20 (this form) is the primary document to show that you have been admitted to school in the United States and that you are authorized to apply for admission to the United States in the F-1 class of admission.
⦿ You will need to pay a separate SEVIS fee in addition to the visa application fee of around US$200.00
⦿ A digital photograph is required while applying for a US visa which must meet certain criteria.
⦿ Next, the visitor visa application (form DS160) must be completed online over the internet.
⦿ After successfully completing the application, you will receive a confirmation with a 10-digit barcode. This will be needed for setting up your visa interview appointment.
⦿ Pay the US visa application fee either electronically as a bank transfer or in cash at designated CitiBank or Axis bank branches throughout India.
⦿ Take an online visa appointment at the official website for US visa appointment.
⦿ After making an appointment with the consulate or embassy for a personal interview, schedule the fingerprinting appointment before the interview at the consulate.
⦿ Go for the visa interview at the designated US consulate with the following documents:

-- The DS160 barcode page
-- The visa application fee receipts
-- Visa appointment letter
-- Supporting documents, based on what kind of visa you are applying for

⦿ After receiving admission from a Canadian university, A student should pay the tuition fees for 1 year to become eligible to apply for Study Direct Stream (SDS) visa category.
⦿ Next step is to open a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) account in Scotia Bank or CIBC bank of Canada and deposit the sum of CAD 10000.
⦿ GIC will cover up to one year of living expenditure and a sum of CAD 670/month will be received for one year for the expenditure.
⦿ Conditions to be met for the SDS category:
1.Acceptance from a post-secondary designated learning institution (DLI)
2.Tuition fee paid for your first year of study
3.Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) of CAD10,000
4.Minimum score of 6 in IELTS with no band less than 6.
⦿ List of documents needed to apply for the visa are:
1.Passport
2.Passport size photograph
3.Letter of acceptance from a DLI.
4.Proof of payment of tuition fee for your first year of study.
5.Proof of Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) payment (certificate/letter of attestation).
6.IELTS TRF scorecard.
7.Copy of your medical examination from an authorized panel of doctors.
8.Relevant academic background with complete academic documents.
9.Additional requirement of CAQ for students intending to study in Quebec.
